1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using wkearly ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
2. Description of service
wkearly is an alarm clock app that requires completing a mission to dismiss an alarm. It tracks sleep locally on your device, with an optional account that enables a public leaderboard of streaks.
3. Alarms are not guaranteed to ring
wkearly does everything in its power to ring reliably, but it cannot guarantee an alarm will always ring. Factors outside the app's control include your device's battery optimization settings, manufacturer-specific background-app restrictions (many phone makers aggressively kill background apps even when required permissions are granted), Do Not Disturb settings, a dead battery, or a powered-off device.
We strongly recommend completing the in-app permission setup for the most reliable experience, but this is not a 100% guarantee on every device. To the fullest extent permitted by law, wkearly and its developers are not liable for missed alarms, lateness, or any consequence arising from an alarm failing to ring.
4. Account terms
If you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
5. Guest mode
You can use wkearly fully without an account. In guest mode, your data stays local to your device and is never sent to our servers except as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Public leaderboard
Creating an account means your username and streak stats may be publicly visible to other users on the leaderboard.
7. Advertising
wkearly is free to use and supported by ads served through Google AdMob on non-critical screens.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to abuse the app's photo-verification backend (for example, scripted or automated calls), reverse engineer the app, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Disclaimer of warranties & limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of the app is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
